Thanks everyone, for the feedback. I really appreciate it!
I have finished taking Miss R’s quilt apart. I painstakingly removed the hand-quilting, then cut off the binding and removed the strips from the sides. I decided to be easy on myself and not do pieced sides. I’ll just put wider side strips on and machine quilt them. I’ll use the extra pieced strips I have sitting around to make her a cushion, which has always been the plan.
So today, I will do as much as possible to put the quilt back together. After I finish this post, I’ll iron the quilt top sides to prepare it for stitching, then cut the strips to widen it. I want to put the back on and at least machine-sew the binding on so that I can hand-stitch the back of the binding while watching TV with DH tonight.
That´s it. After sitting on my arse, reading your blog through ( FAAAAAAAABULOUS skirt that intolerable cruelty!!!!!! ) … my mind´s set up. I absolutley can´t live no further without a crafting room. I just need to have my sewing machine on the table right there, waiting for me.
Yes. Oh yes.
You have no idea how much I got inspiration from your blog!
Dearest, you should SEE my craft room. It is also our computer room. And the kids’ play room.
It is a disaster! But, at least I can leave my stuff out instead of having to set up every time I want to sew a button
This is what I´m thinking.
Mine will be also a computer room. And a room to store oil painting supplies. And framing supplies. All the saws and tools. And most probably my son will be all too heplful when it comes generating toys in there too…
It´s really a point of having a table for sewing ready that I´m most after. That and getting these skeins and fabrics to just one room. A room that has a door.
And liberating walk in closet for … well… clothes.
